जगजननी जय! जय! मा! जगजननी जय! जय!! भयहारिणि, भवतारिणि, भवभामिननि जय जय॥ (टेक)

Jagjanani jai! jai! Ma! Jagjanani jai! jai! Bhayharini, bhavtarini, bhavbhaminani jai jai.

हे जगत की जननी, आपकी जय — भय हरने वाली, भवसागर से तारने वाली और भव की शोभा रूपा माँ, आपकी जय।

Hail Mother of the world — remover of fear, ferry across the ocean of existence, glory of that existence itself: hail to you.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

तू ही सत-चित-सुखमय शुद्ध ब्रह्मरूपा। सत्य सनातन सुन्दर, पर-शिव सुर-भूपा॥

Tu hi sat-chit-sukhmay shuddh brahmroopa. Satya sanatan sundar, par-Shiv sur-bhoopa.

आप ही सत्, चित् और सुख से पूर्ण शुद्ध ब्रह्मरूपा हैं; सत्य, सनातन और सुंदर — परशिव तथा देवों की अधीश्वरी।

You alone are pure Brahman, all being, consciousness and bliss; true, eternal, beautiful — the supreme Shiva and sovereign of the gods.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

आदि अनादि अनामय अविचल अविनाशी। अमल अनन्त अगोचर अज आनंदराशी॥

Aadi anaadi anamay avichal avinashi. Amal anant agochar aj anandrashi.

आप आदि और अनादि, रोगरहित, अविचल और अविनाशी हैं; निर्मल, अनन्त, इन्द्रियों से अगोचर, अजन्मा और आनंद की राशि हैं।

Beginning and beginningless, free of ill, unmoving, undying; spotless, endless, beyond the senses, unborn — a mass of pure bliss.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

अविकारी, अघहारी, अकल, कलाधारी। कर्ता विधि, भर्ता हरि, हर संहारकारी॥

Avikari, aghhari, akal, kaladhari. Karta Vidhi, bharta Hari, Har sanharkari.

आप विकाररहित, पाप हरने वाली, कलारहित होकर भी सब कलाओं को धारण करने वाली हैं; ब्रह्मा कर्ता, विष्णु भर्ता और शिव संहारकर्ता — तीनों आपके ही रूप हैं।

Changeless, sin-destroying, without parts yet holding every art; Brahma the maker, Hari the sustainer, Har the destroyer — all are your own.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

तू विधि-वधू, रमा, तू उमा, महामाया। मूल प्रकृति, विद्या तू, तू जननी जाया॥

Tu Vidhi-vadhu, Rama, tu Uma, Mahamaya. Mool prakriti, vidya tu, tu janani jaya.

आप ही ब्रह्मा की वधू (सरस्वती), रमा (लक्ष्मी), उमा और महामाया हैं; मूल प्रकृति और विद्या भी आप हैं — जननी और जाया दोनों रूप आपके हैं।

You are Brahma’s consort, Rama, Uma and Mahamaya; primal nature and knowledge itself — both mother and spouse.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

राम, कृष्ण तू, सीता, ब्रजरानी राधा। तू वाञ्छाकल्पद्रुम हारिणि सब बाधा॥

Ram, Krishna tu, Sita, Brajrani Radha. Tu vanchhakalpadrum harini sab badha.

राम और कृष्ण, सीता तथा ब्रजरानी राधा — सब आप ही हैं; आप कामनाओं का कल्पवृक्ष और सब बाधाओं को हरने वाली हैं।

Ram and Krishna, Sita and Radha queen of Braj — all are you; you are the wish-granting tree and the remover of every obstacle.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

दश विद्या, नव दुर्गा नाना शस्त्रकरा। अष्टमातृका, योगिनि, नव-नव-रूप-धरा॥

Dash vidya, nav Durga nana shastrakara. Ashtamatrika, yogini, nav-nav-roop-dhara.

आप दश महाविद्या और नव दुर्गा हैं, अनेक शस्त्र धारण करती हैं; अष्ट मातृकाएँ और योगिनियाँ भी आप ही हैं — नित नए रूप धारण करने वाली।

You are the ten vidyas and the nine Durgas, bearing many weapons; the eight mothers and the yoginis too — taking ever-new forms.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

तू परधामनिवासिनि, महाविलासिनि तू। तू ही श्मशानविहारिणि, ताण्डवलासिनि तू॥

Tu pardhamnivasini, mahavilasini tu. Tu hi shmashanviharini, tandavlasini tu.

आप परमधाम में निवास करती हैं और महाविलासिनी भी हैं; आप ही श्मशान में विहार करने वाली और ताण्डव में रमने वाली हैं।

You dwell in the highest abode and are also the great delight; you roam the cremation ground and revel in the tandava dance.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

सुर-मुनि-मोहिनि सौम्या तू शोभाधारा। विवसन विकट-सरूपा, प्रलयमयी धारा॥

Sur-muni-mohini saumya tu shobhadhara. Vivasan vikat-saroopa, pralaymayi dhara.

देवों और मुनियों को मोहित करने वाली, सौम्य और शोभा की धारा आप हैं; और वही आप विवसना, विकट रूपा तथा प्रलय की धारा भी हैं।

Enchanting gods and sages, gentle, a stream of beauty; and the same you, unclad and terrible in form, a current of dissolution.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

तू ही स्नेहसुधामयि, तू अति गरलमना। रत्‍नविभूषित तू ही, तू ही अस्थि-तना॥

Tu hi snehsudhamayi, tu ati garalmana. Ratnavibhushit tu hi, tu hi asthi-tana.

आप ही स्नेह के अमृत से भरी हैं और आप ही अत्यंत विषमना हैं; रत्नों से विभूषित भी आप हैं और अस्थियों की देह वाली भी आप।

You are the nectar of affection, and you the bearer of deepest poison; jewel-adorned you are, and you the one whose body is bone.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

मूलाधारनिवासिनि, इह-पर-सिद्धिप्रदे। कालातीता काली, कमला तू वरदे॥

Muladharnivasini, ih-par-siddhiprade. Kalatita Kali, Kamala tu varade.

मूलाधार में निवास करने वाली, इस लोक और परलोक — दोनों की सिद्धि देने वाली; काल से अतीत काली और वरदायिनी कमला आप ही हैं।

Dwelling in the root centre, giver of attainment here and hereafter; Kali beyond time, and Kamala the boon-giver, are you.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

शक्ति शक्तिधर तू ही नित्य अभेदमयी। भेदप्रदर्शिनि वाणी विमले! वेदत्रयी॥

Shakti shaktidhar tu hi nitya abhedmayi. Bhedpradarshini vani vimale! Vedtrayi.

शक्ति और शक्तिधर — दोनों आप ही हैं, नित्य अभेदरूपा; हे विमले, भेद दिखाने वाली वाणी और तीनों वेद भी आप हैं।

Power and the holder of power are both you, eternally without division; O spotless one, you are the speech that shows distinction, and the three Vedas.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

हम अति दीन दुखी मां! विपत-जाल घेरे। हैं कपूत अति कपटी, पर बालक तेरे॥

Ham ati deen dukhi Ma! Vipat-jaal ghere. Hain kapoot ati kapati, par balak tere.

हे माँ, हम अत्यंत दीन और दुखी हैं, विपत्तियों के जाल में घिरे हैं; हम कपूत और कपटी हैं — पर फिर भी आपके ही बालक हैं।

Mother, we are wretched and grieving, caught in a net of calamity; we are unworthy sons and full of guile — yet we are your children.

॥ जगजननी जय! जय! ॥

निज स्वभाववश जननी! दयादृष्टि कीजै। करुणा कर करुणामयि! चरण-शरण दीजै॥

Nij swabhavvash janani! Dayadrishti kijai. Karuna kar karunamayi! Charan-sharan dijai.

हे जननी, अपने सहज स्वभाव से ही दया की दृष्टि कीजिए; हे करुणामयी, करुणा करके अपने चरणों की शरण दीजिए।

Mother, by your own nature turn on us a glance of mercy; compassionate one, be gracious and grant us the shelter of your feet.
