ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और शिव — तीनों को ओंकार में एक बताने वाली यह आरती शिवालयों की प्रातः-संध्या आरती है। मुख्य आठ पदों के बाद प्रचलित अतिरिक्त पद भी नीचे दिए हैं; प्रत्येक पद के बाद «ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा…» की टेक दोहराई जाती है।Sung morning and evening in Shiva temples, this aarti sees Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva as one in the syllable Om. The four additional verses in common use follow the main eight; the refrain “Om jai Shiv Omkara…” returns after every verse.
॥ आरती ॥॥ Aarti ॥
ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा, स्वामी जय शिव ओंकारा। ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, सदाशिव, अर्द्धांगी धारा॥
Om jai Shiv Omkara, Swami jai Shiv Omkara. Brahma, Vishnu, Sadashiv, ardhangi dhara.
ओंकार-स्वरूप शिव की जय — जो ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और सदाशिव हैं तथा शक्ति को अर्धांगिनी रूप में धारण करते हैं।
Hail Shiva, who is Om itself — Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiv in one, bearing Shakti as his other half.

एकानन चतुरानन पंचानन राजे। हंसासन गरूड़ासन वृषवाहन साजे॥
Ekanan chaturanan panchanan raje. Hansasan garudasan vrishvahan saje.
एक मुख, चार मुख और पाँच मुख वाले रूपों में विराजते हैं; हंस, गरुड़ और वृषभ — तीनों वाहन उन्हीं के हैं।
He is enthroned as the one-faced, four-faced and five-faced; the swan, the eagle and the bull are all his mounts.
॥ ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा… ॥
दो भुज चार चतुर्भुज दसभुज अति सोहे। त्रिगुण रूप निरखते त्रिभुवन जन मोहे॥
Do bhuj char chaturbhuj dasbhuj ati sohe. Trigun roop nirakhte tribhuvan jan mohe.
दो, चार और दस भुजाओं में अति सुंदर लगते हैं; उनके त्रिगुण रूप को देखकर तीनों लोक मोहित हो जाते हैं।
In two arms, four and ten he is resplendent; beholding his threefold form, all three worlds are enchanted.

अक्षमाला वनमाला, मुण्डमाला धारी। चंदन मृगमद सोहै, भाले शशिधारी॥
Akshamala vanmala, mundmala dhari. Chandan mrigmad sohai, bhale shashidhari.
रुद्राक्ष, वन-पुष्प और मुण्डों की मालाएँ धारण करते हैं; चंदन और कस्तूरी शोभित है और भाल पर चंद्र विराजता है।
He wears garlands of rudraksha, of wild flowers and of skulls; sandal and musk adorn him, and the moon rests on his brow.
॥ ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा… ॥
श्वेताम्बर पीताम्बर बाघम्बर अंगे। सनकादिक गरुणादिक भूतादिक संगे॥
Shwetambar pitambar baghambar ange. Sanakadik garunadik bhootadik sange.
श्वेत, पीत और व्याघ्र-चर्म के वस्त्र अंग पर हैं; सनकादि ऋषि, गरुड़ादि और भूतगण उनके संग रहते हैं।
White, yellow and tiger-skin garments clothe him; the sages of Sanaka, the eagle-kind and the spirit hosts attend him.

कर के मध्य कमंडल चक्र त्रिशूलधारी। सुखकारी दुखहारी जगपालन कारी॥
Kar ke madhya kamandal chakra trishuldhari. Sukhkari dukhhari jagpalan kari.
हाथों में कमंडल, चक्र और त्रिशूल धारण करते हैं; सुख देने वाले, दुःख हरने वाले और जगत का पालन करने वाले हैं।
In his hands the water-pot, the discus and the trident; giver of joy, remover of sorrow, sustainer of the world.
॥ ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा… ॥
ब्रह्मा विष्णु सदाशिव जानत अविवेका। प्रणवाक्षर में शोभित ये तीनों एका॥
Brahma Vishnu Sadashiv janat aviveka. Pranavakshar mein shobhit ye teenon eka.
ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और सदाशिव को अलग जानना अविवेक है; प्रणव अक्षर ॐ में ये तीनों एक ही रूप में शोभित हैं।
To hold Brahma, Vishnu and Sadashiv apart is want of discernment; in the syllable Om these three shine as one.

त्रिगुणस्वामी जी की आरति जो कोइ नर गावे। कहत शिवानंद स्वामी सुख संपति पावे॥
Trigun swami ji ki aarti jo koi nar gave. Kahat Shivanand swami sukh sampati pave.
त्रिगुणस्वामी की यह आरती जो मनुष्य गाता है, स्वामी शिवानंद कहते हैं, वह सुख और सम्पत्ति पाता है।
Whoever sings this aarti of the lord of the three qualities, says Swami Shivanand, attains happiness and plenty.

लक्ष्मी व सावित्री पार्वती संगा। पार्वती अर्द्धांगी, शिवलहरी गंगा॥
Lakshmi va Savitri Parvati sanga. Parvati ardhangi, Shivlahari Ganga.
लक्ष्मी, सावित्री और पार्वती संग विराजती हैं; पार्वती उनकी अर्धांगिनी हैं और गंगा शिव की लहर है।
Lakshmi, Savitri and Parvati are at his side; Parvati is his other half, and Ganga is Shiva’s own current.
॥ ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा… ॥
पर्वत सोहैं पार्वती, शंकर कैलासा। भांग धतूर का भोजन, भस्मी में वासा॥
Parvat sohain Parvati, Shankar Kailasa. Bhang dhatoor ka bhojan, bhasmi mein vasa.
पर्वत पर पार्वती और कैलास पर शंकर शोभित हैं; भाँग-धतूरा उनका भोजन और भस्म ही उनका वास है।
Parvati graces the mountain and Shankar Kailash; bhang and datura are his food, and ash his dwelling.

जटा में गंग बहत है, गल मुण्डन माला। शेष नाग लिपटावत, ओढ़त मृगछाला॥
Jata mein Gang bahat hai, gal mundan mala. Shesh Nag liptavat, odhat mrigchhala.
जटाओं में गंगा बहती है और गले में मुण्डमाला है; शेषनाग लिपटे रहते हैं और वे मृगछाला ओढ़ते हैं।
The Ganga flows in his locks and a garland of skulls at his throat; Shesha coils about him and he wraps himself in deerskin.

काशी में विराजे विश्वनाथ, नंदी ब्रह्मचारी। नित उठ दर्शन पावत, महिमा अति भारी॥
Kashi mein viraje Vishwanath, Nandi brahmachari. Nit uth darshan pavat, mahima ati bhari.
काशी में विश्वनाथ विराजते हैं और ब्रह्मचारी नंदी उनके संग हैं; नित्य प्रातः दर्शन पाने वालों को उनकी अपार महिमा मिलती है।
Vishwanath is enthroned at Kashi with Nandi the celibate beside him; those who come each dawn for his sight receive his boundless glory.

ॐ जय शिव ओंकारा, स्वामी जय शिव ओंकारा। ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, सदाशिव, अर्द्धांगी धारा॥
Om jai Shiv Omkara, Swami jai Shiv Omkara. Brahma, Vishnu, Sadashiv, ardhangi dhara.
अंत में वही पहली टेक दोहराई जाती है, जिससे आरती पूर्ण होती है।
The opening refrain returns at the close, completing the aarti.
कब और कैसे करेंWhen and how it is observed
शिवालयों की प्रातः और संध्या आरती में, तथा सोमवार, प्रदोष व्रत, मासिक शिवरात्रि और महाशिवरात्रि पर विशेष रूप से गाई जाती है। श्रावण मास में प्रतिदिन इसका पाठ प्रचलित है। रुद्राभिषेक के समापन पर भी यही आरती होती है।Sung at the morning and evening aarti in Shiva temples, and especially on Mondays, at Pradosh vrat, monthly Shivratri and Mahashivratri. Through the month of Shravan it is commonly sung daily. It also closes a Rudrabhishek.
